There was nobody else to start this series with. Jessica is the one who introduced me to Semaine. She has been my support and sounding board through my endometriosis journey.
Author of "One Part Plant" and "Know Your Endo," Jessica Murnane champions eating more veggies and endometriosis awareness. Now certified in Horticultural Therapy, she founded Basker, offering virtual flower-growing sessions for anyone—"a pot is a garden!"
"I help people use gardening and nature for emotional, physical, mental, and social well-being."
Let’s get to the questions and answers!
Morning success ritual?
Not complaining about having to wake up.
Advice to younger self?
There's no rush.
Self-care when overwhelmed?
Looking at seed catalogs.
What makes you smile?
My son telling me about his day.
A flower I've been waiting to bloom (for months!), finally doing her thing. Seeing my friends succeed.
Eating in bed while watching a fun show.
What are you currently reading?
Careless People (about to start it!)
Person who inspires you the most.
There's no way to pick one...but right now it's anyone making waves, not afraid to speak up, and doing what's uncomfortable during these wild/enraging/dystopian times.
When do you feel the most inspired?
Going to the library and grabbing a stack of books (I'm talking 10-20) on a topic I'm interested in and diving in. I truly need to be offline to be in the inspiration zone.
